This policy describes how Gufy (com.gufy.jokes) handles information when you use the iOS or Android app. Gufy is a humor app: you swipe jokes and riddles, optionally create an account, and may subscribe to Gufy Pro.
This document is a draft for App Store / Play listing. It is not legal advice. Have counsel review it before you rely on it.
You can use Gufy as a guest (anonymous Firebase Authentication session) or sign in with email and password, Google, or Sign in with Apple (iOS, when that button is available on your device and app build).
Depending on how you sign in, we may receive your email address, display name, a Firebase user id, and provider identifiers needed to keep you signed in. We do not ask for a government ID. We do not collect payment card numbers.
Guest mode stores preferences and activity on the device. The app may also create an anonymous Firebase Auth user so catalog and related cloud features can run. You can Clear guest data from Profile settings.
If you use signed-in or synced features, we may store reactions (swipes, saved items), topic preferences and language, daily swipe quota / trial-related state, profile fields you set, and optional push-notification tokens.
Subscriptions and the lifetime unlock are sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Entitlements are tracked with RevenueCat.
We may receive whether Gufy Pro is active, product identifiers (weekly, yearly, lifetime), approximate subscription / trial / renewal state, and a RevenueCat customer / app user id. Apple or Google process the payment. We do not see your full card number.
Device locale / language, crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics, and push notification tokens if you enable Joke of the Day or optional trial reminders (Firebase Cloud Messaging / APNs).
The app can record product events in a local in-memory queue. No third-party analytics vendor (including PostHog) is connected in the current shipping app — events do not leave the device. If that changes, we will update this policy and App Privacy answers first. We do not use this data for third-party advertising in the current app.
Jokes and riddles ship in the app binary and may also load from Cloud Firestore when the network is available. Remote catalog gaps do not mean we collect extra personal data.
To provide the app, enforce the free swipe limit, unlock Gufy Pro, restore purchases, send opted-in notifications, fix crashes, and comply with law (including account deletion). We do not sell your personal information.

Payment card data stays with Apple or Google. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect users, or as part of a sale of the app.

Gufy is not directed at children under 13 (or the higher age required in your country). Some jokes use dark, dating, political, or mature humor. Set the store age rating to match the live catalog.
Firebase, RevenueCat, Apple, and Google may process data in the United States and other countries, using their documented safeguards (for example Standard Contractual Clauses).
We use industry-standard hosting. No method of transmission is 100% secure.
We will update the “Last updated” date when this policy changes. Material changes should also be reflected in App Store Connect App Privacy.
